I usually find outdated = more legroom 🤣 Modern = cramped (by way of comparison QF fit 2 more rows of economy on their 738's vs Silk Air, but then again QF have had their 738's in their fleet a lot longer than MI)

My one way journey memories were influenced by how the flight was full and I was last to receive a meal, and it wasn't to my liking. I take your point: at least the seats were 'thicker'. Your observations were objective, mine subjective. Objective wins!
