Next year booked with points and travelling J class, SIA. I am reading on SeatGuru the seats on the A380 are slightly offset giving more privacy where as the A350 they're perfectly aligned with not as much privacy.

Travelling with my wife we normally take the 2 centre seats but then get served differently times etc. On the A350 would we be better taking the window and aisle seat?

Any thoughts?

I think it all depends on the configuration of the A350 for your flight... there are some with staggered seating and some with seating that is more aligned. If you have the staggered seating there are some sets of seats together, and some off-set.

I can't see any benefit of a centre seat + aisle seat... if you're going to be separated...

A little off topic, but be mindful of the awful seat pitch on all of the A350’s. I’m a tall guy and I’ve deliberately routed indirectly out of Europe in a 777 just to avoid the A350 aircraft. After reading several reviews, it appears to only have ~180cm which isn’t a lot when you take into account the cramped foot well.
