Should there be a minimum dress code when flying?
Last week we returned from Bali - not the first trip so we do know what to expect - but I am constantly astounded at what people consider suitable attire to wear on a plane. I wouldn't consider myself a snob but I would think that footwear would be a minimum requirement if for no other reason than safety.
I know it's a tropical climate but it's not that hot, the hotels/airport are all airconditioned, as is the plane.
Years ago I was upgraded to B Class on a BA flight from London but I was checked out head to toe at the check in desk obviously to see if I was suitably attired before I was given the upgrade.
Interested to hear what others think or have experienced.
