Shop small to return in November

thank you. Just topped up my way. Will do a few more times before end of week using different cards. You do lose the 5% saving from paying by BPay. What happens when your balance is a mix of BPay and pay at outlet?

I looked this up, it goes on what your last payment was. So you can use multiple cards at multiple outlets to increase your balance and get a $10 saving each time, then do a $5 BPay payment and go back to getting the 5% saving.

Problem with multiple cards is that you will lose track of what's been charged to what. I've got 6 and let me tell ya I have a little text file to help me keep track of it...too much effort :D

No idea what I'll do with my supp card from my wife and that brings the grand total to 7 :!:

I kept a spreadsheet on how far I have gone with all offers. Such as card A only spent $90 on Dan Murphy deal, card B only 180 in to Myer deal. Also keep google calendar alert when deals are close to finish so I won't miss out. Such as I need to remember going to TGG to get their gift card this weekend.

This is only 4 cards lol.

30/40 :) (including 3 x comps for places refusing to accept AMEX). My dentist is on Shop Small and should be cool with me splitting up my payment so there is 4 more right there when I get my usual checkup later this week (not to mention that my health fund will also reimburse me), shouldn't have any problem getting the other 6 done before the end of the weekend. Can't wait until AMEX Shop Small 2015.

Does anyone have an email address for queries re this Shop Small promotion? I know there's an email link on the American Express website, but you have to log into your account first - which I don't have as mine is a CBA-issued Amex and as far as I can tell from the website, the "Your Account" option is only for Amex-issued cards. I received email notifications almost immediately for four Shop Small transactions I made last week (and the credits went through a few days later), but have not received a notification for another transaction made two days ago (and yes, it was at a different retailer and yes, the retailer is listed on the Shop Small site :) ). I can't seem to find a contact email address on any of the Shop Small emails I've received, so wondered whether anyone here might know?
Thanks!

Loving the shop small on 2 fronts, got $100 in credits and discovered a lot of places that take Amex. Hit the trifecta this Sunday for a restaurant outing. Booked through QF restaurants 450 points, pay with AMEX 3 x $ spend AND get $10 back on the shop small. Caching.

If in Sydney - all "Metro" brand petrol stations are taking part in the promotion.

Your mileage may vary, however.

Metro Alexandria - perfect, no whinges, no complaints, no surcharge and often the cheapest. Nice and friendly too.

Other Metro's are bit of a hit or miss but they're generally OK.

However, the one on Mowbray Rd I'd give it a miss. The staff there are rude ("why don't you use a PIN, now I got to get you a pen" because my card doesn't have a chip!!!! or "VISA or Master only" but I've just used it last week with my Amex...tries to grab my card off me to prevent me from swiping it and enter the PIN!) and they are the dearest Metro I've encountered.

Strange one today, went back to local petrol station with supp card after using main card there a couple of weeks ago (although no email or $10 until I called). Today they don't accept Amex as apparently the business changed owners yesterday. Amex gave me the $10 anyway and customer service were very very helpful.

Happened to be driving down Mowbray Road tonight so thought I would risk $20 to see if I got $10 back. Petrol was priced about same as others in the area. No problem using Amex BUT no email from Amex thanking me for shopping small.

You may get an email, or you may not, even if everything is kosher, from my experience. The $10 credit can take 2+ days to show up.

Edit: In the current promo, my AMEX issued card is not generating any emails at all for eligible purchases, whereas during the previous promo it did. My ANZ issued AMEX is generating emails immediately after each eligible purchase. However, I'm receiving $10 credits for both.

Picked up a reg book I need for school next year at the print shop. $10 off $22 is pretty good in my book ;)

I've received emails for every one of my purchases (around 18) on the Amex as well as the bank branded card.

In my experience it's a mixed bag - I had approx. 20 purchases on 3 different AMEX issued cards (Platinum Reserve), I've received emails for half of them approx. but most importantly $10 credits for all of them (credits may take a few days to show-up in my account...)

This turned out to be quite stressful. I was at 13/30 thinking it was easy to max the promo. Then I found another Amex card (ANZ QFF from 50k promo) and it could still be registered.

Spent 2 hours walking around the city topping up 2 opal cards and getting my meds. Now sitting at 33/40. Only 7 to go during the weekend.

For those in Canberra, IORI and Lemon Grass do gift vouchers. :)
IORI charge 3% surcharge.

I was getting almost immediate emails until last week then they stopped. Credits still rolling in though.

Amex told me that they have had a lot of complaints about the confirmation emails not being received - as far as they can tell it's related to how retailers are processing their POS transactions and delays in that processing (from the retailers' end) have caused problems with the confirmation emails system. They said their technical team is working on it, but the $10 statement credits aren't affected, they should still go through as normal.
