Still selling. Haven't seen anything change in the description. :?

Just found the auction has ended early with:

The seller ended this listing early because of an error in the listing.
Took a while to end it though, 12 hours after your post this morning and 4 hours after I posted in the afternoon.

Must have been seriously thinking hard how to continue scamming for money. Good to see there were no bids and hopefully people have learned of the worthlessness of these coupons.

I sent the seller two e-mails, one asking him to confirm that the passes were valid, albeit only if accmpanying a member. Several hours later I got a response saying they were no longer valid but were "souvenirs only."

The second e-mail asked for a photograph of the envelope which was supposed to be the actual item for sale. No reply at all to that one!

Hey, I'm a Posting Freak! When did that happen?

Mal has 100 envelopes he wanted to sell. He may be able to send you a photograph of what one looks like.

And I have this bridge for sale if anyone is interested 8) .
Not interested in selling your old b*s :?:
The old b*s is still servicing the NM clan well. The garage has 14 seats installed currently. So the old b*s will be hanging around a lot longer than some of the poor humour on this thread :p .

Humour? What humour?

Interesting wording.

This auction is not to buy The Qantas Club Members Guest Passes,
You are biding on an envelope, & I give you for FREE 5 Qantas Club Members Guest Passes

Is this what they call "pushing the envelope"?

Gotta love the one liners.... :)

It also mentions further down "Guest pass is only valid when presented by the accompanying Qantas Club member". So in order to buy these passes you really need to be naive. :?

Should really read "FREE 5 Qantas Club Members Guest Passes" that are of nostalgic value only as they are no longer valid :!:

Unbelievable.

Anyone know when the last of the QF issued guest passes expires?

I suppose it will stop around June 2006 when the last of the dated passes "expire". They we will see the older undated ones make a fresh appearance!

And even though I informed this seller of the current status of the Guest Passes, he has listed yet another action for another book of 5 passes!

You will be pleased to know that this auction has now been withdrawn from ebay

THIS ITEM IS NO LONGER FOR SALE I HAVE BEEN TOLD THEY HAVED FINISHED THIS TYPE OF VOUCHER NOW EVEN THOUGH ITS VALID TO JUNE 06 SORRY FOLKS .......

But there is at least one other 5xQC "Guest pass" auction up there now.

Bring on June when the last batch expires!

If you are referring to this auction on ebay then I think you are right.

They are Qantas club complimentary invitations, but no expiry date and not the same colour as mine when I got silver or the one Skyring auctioned on ebay from a few posts above. I think these are the old ones that NM thinks will resurface.

Just in case anyone gets antsy, I'm auctioning off the QC invite I got on going silver. I've since joined QC and as I normally travel alone (or with my wife who is also a member), I can't see much need for this.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6602425532

Much to my astonishment, this invite sold within a few minutes of being listed. $25 on the "Buy-it-now" price, and I had thought this to be rather optimistic.

So there's at least a little gold in silver.
