Hi guys,

Been a while since I have posted on here (or even been on here). Have done 0 travel in almost 18 months so been out of things a bit. Anyway I am finally getting a holiday and have booked business class to Darwin. I selected 3A and 3C for me and the wife shortly after booking. I just went to check my booking and seat selection and somehow I lost my seat selection. Now when I click select seats all I get is a preferred Aisle or Window menu and no seat selection. Anyone know what I have broken and how to fix it?

Sounds like the cabin may be full and thus taken away the option to select your seat. I've had this happen before on an international flight.

I have been trying for 2 days to select seats anywhere fwd of row 43 on my Perth - SYD flight tomorrow. EF shows the A330 as half full so I dont know whats going on. I'm wondering if it is because my first flight is on a network aviation flight. I'm friends with a check in agent at the airport so hopefully she can bump a Platinum out of row 23 for me LOL.

What flight are you on? (I can check the seat map for you if you wish)

I am on QF754 on the 30th of September. I had 3A and 3C confirmed on my screen, clicked change seats for some reason I can't even remember (I was fiddling around while on the phone!). Click cancel and my seat selection is gone. It is the back row of business anyway but I am flying with my wife and 1yr old so want to make sure we are seated together.

That is bizarre, I would agree. The seats currently show up as vacant:

Perhaps give Qantas a call and ask them to (re)allocate the seats to you?

Sorted! :)

While seats can never be guaranteed for operational reasons, I've reinstated 3A and 3C for you.

Not sure why this changed, however there's been no Qantas interaction with this booking until today.

On a side note, I know travelling with a young family can be challenging. These handy tips and hints may be useful: Family Travel | Qantas

I have to say Red Roo is on their game today!

Thanks Roo! I definitely did something so not blaming Qantas at all. Just was surprised I couldn't re-select the seats I had.
