I'm looking at options for a J reward flight for 2 next year. Intending to do the 280K points deal.

Basically will do Europe and then to US (NYC) and back to Sydney.

Every search I've tried doesn't come up with flights that suit; some J but mainly Y options, and very limited airlines.

Is there a trick to see exactly what flight options I have? Getting sick of constantly entering cities, dates and getting nothing. Haven't tried the One World search engine as not sure if that gives the 280K option?

Not 100% sure on schedule; into <enter country here> then train it around various countries and then over to US from <enter country here>. No need to do UK unless it is a stop over purely to get a seat to where we are going.

Some advice would be great, doing my head in at present.

If you haven't already, please have a good read through the following thread.

To give you a few quick pointers:
1. Be flexible with your dates
2. Be flexible with your route (ie: if you want to go say London to New York in J, be prepared to go LHR-PHL or similar, then make your way to New York)

Unfortunately there is no quick easy way to see all available flights on the dates/sectors you want. You need to use the QF engine and keep trying different dates/airports/etc till you find something that suits your needs.

Good Luck.

You could check award availability on www.expertflyer.com as you can ask it to search a few days either side & it will display "U" class availability for QF/AS or whatever the appropriate award class is on other carriers.

Thanks both.

Looks like I'll just have to sepnd a day in front of a computer looking for sectors. What's annoying is if you use the One World planner all the different airlines and flights sre listed, but when you use only Qantas Multi-City booking through the QF portal there is basically QF, EK and CX (that I see anyway). Even HEL-SIN drags you onto a EK flight.
Hard to book an award when QF won't give you all the options.

If you use Awardnexus it will give you the JL options. Or you could sign up to other airlines loyalty programmes.
