Scenarios - SYD <> HKG in May/June

On 06 May, SYD-HKG on the old(?) 747, I see only 1 window available, in J in row 8, but it is right in front of the loos and galley. Will this be noticeably light/noisy? I know she'd like a window.

I am not seeing anything upstairs. Do seats become available later, if so I'll check regularly.

CX is far more likely to have availability for J awards due to their greater capacity and IMO is worth the extra premium for a superior product.

the 10pm SYD departure and midnight HKG departure typically have the best award availability I have found
