Same here.

Full of P1 guff as well. Have 500 sc so far with end of May renewal.

Is hard to say whether I will requal for Plat at this stage. Would be to early to use such an offer now as who knows what will happen in the next seven months!

I read over the T&Cs - I noticed (unlike the 50% SC offer received earlier in the year) this one doesnt seem to specifically state that you cannot change the flights and lose the SC bonus? Anyone else want to weigh in?

Seems to me that changes are allowed, provided the new travel dates are still with the 12 month travel window.

So from my reading you earn on INT Y full status credits on every QF flight.

So if I booked Melbourne to Bangkok (via Sydney) it would be 70 SCs (10 SC Melbourne to Sydney which earns discount SC rate as domestic & 60 SC Sydney to Bangkok which earns full).

Singapore to Melbourne return would be also be 60 SCs. Am I missing anything here?

Gotta this as well. So much for not handing out cheap status credits. I better not use it since, apparently, I'm not one of the people who are allowed to get cheap status.

International flights earn at the economy rate. Isn't there 3 earning levels discount economy, economy and flexible economy? If so, economy would not be the full rate

Received - sitting on 1,500SC with renewal date of March 16.

We've got a decent number of flights booked well into 2016 (all Int F/J awards ) so won't be using.

That's my understanding too:
"....travel must be between 30 September 2015 and 17 September 2016"......
If you cancel your initial qualifying booking or change it to be outside of the eligible travel period this bonus offer will not apply."

Not quite. Flexible Economy earns 60 SCs. With this promotion you would earn economy SCs not flexible economy SCs so you would earn 40 SCs for SYD-SIN/BKK/HKG.

I'm looking at booking a 140k classic award, the 140k reward still books into X class and Qualify doesn't it? I'm aware I won't get anything on the non-Qantas legs.

Well I booked several today in J classic. In each case for SYD travel ex PER we chose a MEL dogleg for the extra SCs.
With PER-MEL we chose direct.

Booked two today to help with status in the New Year, if work picks up I can cancel the August (Ekka) trip for 5,000 points, the other one is Australia Day.

OOL-SYD-PER-KTAxPER-BNE-MELxSYD-BNE - 110,000 points and $294 for 230 SC.

It works for me, may not be to everyone's cup of tea though.

Ended up Booking, SYD-MEL-PER-PHExPER-BNE-SYD - 100,000 points $210 180 status credits. Also SYD-MEL-PER for 36,000 points and $57 60 status credits.

I booked J SYD-MEL-ADL-SYD. 48K and $96
Going to ADL anyway mid Nov and figure I may as well get 60SC in the bag for it. Could have routed back through MEL on the way back but late arrival and I'll just want to get home instead of gaining SC

I now have 8 QF return flights booked and Mrscove has 6. Our next one included in the total is the one we paid for which was a tester for me as I had to figure out how not to book on points. This classic J idea should get QF thinking about a JASAs comeback for SCs.

I did not get the email but found a link on Facebook, I signed up and rec'd a confirmation email.

Came at a great time as I needed 60SC which I thought I had through 50% SC bonus, but EA waited too long to book flights and missed window.

Needed to do 3 returns to SYD anyway, 48k plus ~$180 given my weekly commute (normally on JQ).

With not many points to play with, I booked last night a simple MEL > SYD return in J for Mid January, ensuring that I selected an A330 in both directions to hopefully road test the newly reconfigured aircraft.
40 SC's to start the new membership off is better than 20 SC's if I booked a cash fare in Y.

I gave this a miss as they dates did not work for me. I already have enough bookings to re-earn WP in 2016, so any appliction would have had to be after Oct next year.
