Hi there - I'm new - so be nice :p

I'm Richard, a Bronze Frequent Flyer with Westpac Altitude Awards card, have about 57,000 points.

There was this promotion recently:
"Save 20% on points for selected Qantas Classic Awards - until 23rd July 2011"

Unfortunately I was *really stupid* because I didn't see my destination in the email - but the destination (Sydney to Johannesburg) is still part of the promotion. Instead of 84,000 points, I'd just need 67,200!!!

I have phoned Qantas twice and both consultants tell me it's too late and that there's nothing they can do.

Do you have any ideas? Does somebody have the discretion to still give me the points discount?
It would really make my day/week/month/year. :)
There are still award seats available

End of promotion means, end of the promotion ;)

No secret ways to get the discount!

Sorry Richard, you missed it. Why get angry at QF, for something that really was your own doing?

Thanks for the feedback.
Not angry at Qantas - I just chose the angry icon - more like "frustrated and disappointed". At most, I'm angry that Qantas didn't include all the applicable destinations in their email - but that's just my fault for reading too fast and not reading the un-obvious "click here for a list of all the destinations" - if I had to *slowly* and *carefully* read every marketing email I get sent I would spend the whole day on my email. As a marketing tip - the more people you can 'reach' in a given marketing message, the better, and they missed me! And so, if you're going to be providing a list of destinations for people... maybe, the more destinations you list the bigger reach...
But you can't be 100% perfect - I know how it is.

Yaknow, normally during these things the seats sell out. But there are still awards seats left for this promotion - just the discount is missing. Sucks to be me...
