danwarne,

Welcome to AFF.

Let's not go down that road again of I know all about the briefing. I'm sure I could ask you a few simple questions and prove otherwise. With your attitude I'd like to ensure you sat as far as possible from an exit because in an emergency you would probably be a liability. I see it regularly :!:
... end of rant and nothing personal

Questions like, how do you clip a single waiststrap together? It is single, it already is together :) Or just what is sutterly different between all the aircraft....

Actually I have discussed the psychology of the safety demo script with someone senior at QF. Regular travellers are so famailiar with the same words that when you introduce a difference they can "hear" the familiar words rather than the novel ones.

For example, off the top of your heads everyone - is the QF 737-800 demo different to the 737-300/400?

Consider the following questions (without peeking)

- are there one or two strips of cabin safety lights (to guide you to the exit)?
- are they on the floor or on the side of the seats?

That's for starters...;)

Location of life jackets in J differs.

The over wing emergency exits are quite different also :!:

No-brainer - and yes I do notice the difference. In fact, early on I was watching for it! :p

Newer Aircraft have the lights on the seats ... on the videao and in reality!

OK, but one row or two of lights?
And is the position on the seats actually referred to in the safety demo script?

..and if there is one strip, does it run down the left or the right side of the aircarft?

To finish this off (since some feel we are way OT)...there is only one strip - you cannot see the strip easily sitting in window seats or in the aisle on the right (since the strip is on the right seats) - the demo only refers to the lights not their position - it is up to the cabin crew to point to their position...if you are not watching the crew AND listening you wouldn't know where they are...that is if you can even see them during the demo...
