The post match Haka was a great tribute to the All Black legend/ history that got those boys to where they stood. It was the 'traditional' Haka and celebrated their turangawaewae.

I think the Scottish would find the irony in Australian's complaining about bad Ref calls!

Where was all this Aussie outrage at Ref calls in 2007 1/4 final in Cardiff?
Is it only poor refereeing if the All Blacks win?

SBW went up in my estimation-

I think you have pulled the wool somewhat RedRoo. Those guys are Jetconnect crew based in NZ and are most probably kiwis. But shhh, don't tell anyone (although the Captain's smile gives it away - he is clearly very happy about it!!)

I take it all back. Richie MCcaw does enter through the gate on his feet supporting his own weight.

I'm always outraged by poor refereeing, it destroys the game. Still the almost consistent failure to police the all blacks stands out like bulls bollocks on a sheep. Having just re-watched the game to send to my brother, I have another compare and contrast example. Early in the first half Pocock was penalised because while standing on his feet, his hand touched the ground in retrieving the ball. Yet around the 75 minute All Black number 4 does exactly the same, guess what? no whistle. I'm not complaining about Pocock - I just wonder why we don't see the same standard applied in the same game.

My comment is about his entire test match career.the stats and result of one game are irrelevant.

<redacted> Any loose forward (including your beloved Hooper and Pocock) push the limit and they will often get penalised for that reason. If you can sit there and say that McCaw has a low standard of play, you should probably consider supporting another game <redacted>

No wool here my friend! We'd much rather have won the bet and see our Air New Zealand colleagues wearing the Qantas logo on the Wallabies jerseys.

Ok Red Roo - can you please confirm then that the Captain is in fact a kiwi and now has the jersey proudly hanging over his mantlepiece in his house in Auckland?

SBW went up in my estimation-

SBW has been an interesting study. Everyone agrees that he is a good athlete, but he has really grown as an all black in the last 6 months. A hypothesis is he realised that he wasnt THAT good and needed an attitude adjustment. He does have potential and big shoes to fill.

I assume that you're also outraged that Owens awarded a penalty to Pocock when he came diving in from the side of the ruck when the ABs were a meter out? Should have been at least a yellow for cynical play. Or the fact that at almost every other ruck the Wallabies either didn't release, didn't roll away, didn't enter through the gate, or sealed off by going straight to ground. Not to mention splintering mauls by coming in from the side.

As for a comparison, Nonu gets lifted past horizontal by Kuridrani and Hooper. Automatic yellow.

Don't tell me that only one team was refereed.

Gees Boris, I know quite a few of the crew as they have flown me over the Tasman over the last 10 years. When I get on the plane I do not think Air New Zealand, or this is not Qantas even though I do know that it is a ZK registered aircraft and that the crew are Jetconnect employed under much less generous employment contracts than their QF mainline counterparts. It is Qantas branded and level of service.
Anyway I agree most if not all the crew or their families and friends maybe very happy being given an AB jersey to take home;)

Indeed, well the All Blacks do have a no cough policy and it looks like he has benefitted from it. I understand Michael Cheika has a similar policy and it does seem to have benefitted the Wallabies too.

That's my point! Few friends in Jetconnect and they are pretty happy about it.

Sad day for kiwis and rugby fans today with Jonah Lomu passing, and just a few weeks ago he was on show at the world cup. Somewhat glad now that Brian Habana didn't beat his record (though he's a worthy co-record holder!).

Wow, sounds like you're not happy with the win.

In any case, before we worry about the sanction, the referee needs to actually blow the whistle, which is what happened to Pocock. Unlike what happened for Mccaw at least twice, the Allblack No.4 and even the fly half when they decided to dive onto the ground grab the ball while laying on the ground then jump up to send someone over the line. If I saw those instances the referees sure as hell should've blown the whistle. (I can put together a little video for your viewing pleasure, if you wish)

Not sure what game you were watching, perhaps you dreamed all those other things you claim happened. Because that sure ain't what happened in the world cup final.

Of course, if those things did happen as you claim, that just supports my earlier contention that Nigel Owens had a shocker. Now when I expressed that view I was accused of poor sportsmanship, and of being a sore loser who has NFI about rugby. I can only compare and contrast the responses.
