Can anyone help out here...I am about to book a RTW Done 5 fare Bus class ex SYD and want to use the Australian legs (I think you can get up to 4 trips) after I return. SYD_PER_SYD & SYD- MEL_SYD.

My travel agent says no this is not allowed but I thought I saw a posting recently saying that it was possible?

You can do up to 4 AU domestic sectors. However, only one can be between SYD/MEL/BNE and PER. So you cannot do SYD-PER-SYD. You would need to use 3 sectors and do SYD-PER-ADL-SYD to meet that rule.

Thanks NM...also does anyone know if can I do this (SYD-PER-ADL-SYD) say a month after I have completed my SYD- RTW-SYD flights?

My Sample route would be SYD-LAX-LHR-JNB-HKG-SIN-SYD...one month later SYD-PER-ADL-SYD

That's fine ...

Of course you are now using 3 of your 4 segments so, doing that, you can't haveSYD-MEL-SYD as part of your DONE5. However, you could still do SYD-MEL for the last leg, then do MEL-SYD with a separate fare; i.e. SYD-PER-ADL-SYD-MEL to finish the DONE5 and a red e-deal one way MEL-SYD.

To demonstrate xONEx flexibility, other possible options you could consider include:

-SYD-PER-ADL-SYD//MEL-SYD
-SYD-PER-ADL-MEL-SYD
-SYD-PER-ADL//SYD-MEL-SYD
-SYD-PER-CBR//SYD-MEL-SYD
//CBR-PER-SYD-MEL-SYD

Yes you can. I still have a BEN-MEL-BNE remaining on my ex-BNE ATW DONE4 fare from a few months back.

Just cannot exceed 20 sectors in total for the trip, and cannot have more than two stopovers in the continent of origin. So your initial return to SYD is the first stopover, so only one more stopover permitted.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Don't forget that once you hit your point of origin, you have finished going round the world - trip over. So, when you return to Oz, just don't go to your home city. If you start in SYD, then return to MEL or BNE and get a cheap fare back to SYD. THEN you can do your 4 sectors in SWP (but only 2 stopovers).

This is now not true. The rules for xONEx changed many months ago remove this restriction. See NM's post above

DONE5 are cheaper ex NZ. Worth the Aust-NZ-Aust air fare

How much does a DONE4 and DONE5 cost now days?

And points-wise, how much do they cost? (I vaguely recall 285,000?)

Cheers, JOBU

That is the case for Global Explorer (DGLOB34 etc) fares, but not for OneWorld Explorer fares. The rule change for OneWorld Explorer seemed to enter about November 2004.

Fares as of 01 July 2006. Plus taxes, surcharges and fuel fines.
