Hi Im a newby to this forum
Hope folks can help me
I want to fly RTW or 1/2 RTW Bris Israel Nairobi Athens London and back to Bris June next year.
Ive tried a couple of DIY planners (Airtreks and Kayak) and they spit the dummy.
I saw someone was talking about a good American Airlines (AA?) deal but these I think have to be commenced in USA
Can someone advise me a good site to DIY or any other suggestions are welcomed
ALSO can anyone help with a good tour guide / organisation to do Ngorongoro DIY or tour rock bottom prices not the Hilton please

Thanks in anticipation

That combination of places is not easily done, certainly not as a simple return and also not easily on a RTW. Firstly only one world service to Nairobi is BA so you'd need to re-enter europe, fortunately the One World Explorer has an exception allowing just that. However you cannot include flights from LHR to both Tel Aviv and Athens on the same itinerary. At least one would need to be from another one world hub (ie IB from Madrid or AY from Helsinki, if such flights exists - probably). This means you will at a minimum need a surface segment in europe or unusual routing (eg LHR-TLV-MAD-ATH-LHR). Also you'll need a 5 continent RTW so a bit pricey. Alternatively you might be able to do a 4 continent indian ocean circle fare - I'm not as familiar with the rules on this (Nairobi likely to be the sticking point).

So a sample itinerary might look like BNE-SYD-SIN-LHR-TLV-MAD-ATH-LHR-NBO-LHR-usa flights-LAX/JFK-SYD-BNE and you'd still have 2 flights within Australia plus 6 within north america.

Alternatively a *A RTW is mileage based and could be done on the cheapest level (up to 29,000 miles). A sample routing is BNE-SIN-FRA-TLV-VIE-ATH-FRA-LAX-BNE (with LAX-BNE on NZ 7000 flight number via AKL) at about 28,400 miles.

I would try for an open jaw on Emirates BNE-DXB-ATH/-NBO-DXB-BNE. Athens always used to be a decent place for cheap tickets, maybe you can get them online too. Get a one-way ATH-NBO. Egypt Air would probably be cheap. The either get a separate RT ATH-TLV-ATH, or take a bus from Egypt to Israel. Don't let the Israelis stamp your passport, you will have trouble getting into Dubai or other Arab countries.

You sound like a backpacker, and that's basically my style of travel too. So I would say get a cheap bus from Nairobi to Arusha, then hook up with DIY camping trips to Ngororgoro and Serengeti.

Oops, just noticed you want to go to London too. I gave you a plan back to BNE. In that case, I would still get the cheapest ticket to ATH because it's your best bet for cheap tickets. Like Kiwiflyer said, you will have trouble fitting those stops into a major airline alliance RTW. ATH-NBO can be done on Olympic, Egypt Air, Gulf Air, Emirates and Ethiopian, not sure if Kenya Airlines go to ATH. You will easily get cheap tickets from ATH to LON too.

Hi..Its Phil here again

Thanks so far, Im learning the jargon. Ive since learnt that Tel Aviv is a sticky (and expensive) place to get flights to.
However Amman (Jordan) is only a Katusha away from the Border so we could fly BNE to AMMan (visit my buddy in Israel for a week) then zip back to AMM on the bus. Then go to ATH.
From ATH to NBO return and thence to LHR or MAN
After that I dont care whether we go West or East what ever is cheaper
Any further thoughts?
Any one know any recommds for a 4WD mob in Nairobi or Arusha??

Thanks for help

It is precisely because TLV is expensive to get to (from down under anyway) that makes it a good value destination as part of a RTW or circle ticket, or as an award.
