I think this offer from best flights is similar but I can't see (blind) an end date for booking of travel.

If I were to do this I imagine that I could stopover in LA and NY (using QF codeshare) and also I can stopover in Europe in Helsinki in Zone 1 with either BA of Finnair. If I stop in Bangkok where would my second stopover be returning home with available airlines mentioned?

The way I understand it is 2 stopovers on way to Europe, 1 stopover in Europe and 2 stopovers returning back home to aus.

Is it wise to assume that these flights attract ff miles and more importantly status credits? SYD-LAX-JFK-LHR-HEL-LHR-BKK-SYD would be ~195 SC's without the extra stopover returning. In February 2006 at $1259 plus ~$400 taxes & charges which is ~$8.5/SC?

Any help would be welcome.
