This is intriguing. How can one not stopover (ie visit) BKK if the RTW is supposed to commence there? Is it legal?
How would you not stopover in the LOS? :?

It would be criminal. :D

If interested in starting an ATW trip ex BKK, drop me a line; I know a decent travel agent in BKK who can sort the tickets out plus courier them down to australia to save you even having to stopover there if you dont want to

As mentioned by NM, of course it is legal. The only requirement is to start your journey in BKK. I have booked it before for someone such that their first sector of the DONE4 was BKK-LHR on BA10 and then purchased a ticket SYD-BKK separately , again on BA10, using FF miles.

When departing, they went to check in and checked in all the way through to London, just that the 1st part was in WT+ and the onward in Club World; no need to stopover in BKK, just pass through

OK, thanks Dave, Just wondering. I have done a similar thing with a FF ticket to somewhere in South Asia and then a paid ticket to heaven knows where.
