I'm in too. And my name is not Tooner, but those attending may be able to guess why when they hear my surname.

Fysh? Piano? Carr? Upp?
If it's Fysh, I would have gone with Hudson as a handle here… :)

Mark me down, my congratulations email came in while I was in a meeting.

Looks like there's a few who were there for the 2011 event. We might have to get jackets or pins made.

And for awilcockson, I present the following:

a little more at right angles I'm afraid, but it would have been more appropriate if the lunch was at a restaurant called Salt!

Ask EmilyHoward about how that feels sometime.

I don't think Emily Howard and I are in the same camp. I mean boat. Sorry, I mean plane.

Changing the subject hurriedly, it'll be my birthday that day. 31 again :D And at least one of those statements is true.

Better tell them to get the bolly on ice! I do recall they had sparkling Australian last time...

Mine two - I'm only 38 having missed many by departing the USA back to Oz on the 11th ... ;)

My husband uses the same excuse as you, as we flew back from the USA on his birthday, and according to him, makes him younger than me. He is interviewed occasionally by the media, and shortly after that trip, he was asked something to do with his age and when it went to print he waited for my reaction - sure enough, his age had "reduced" by a year. So he considers that as it is now in print, it is "truth". Unfortunately for him, as a cricketer, if anyone cares to check there is actually an online cricket resource (Live cricket scores, commentary, match coverage | Cricket news, statistics | ESPN Cricinfo) that gives his age, to the day, so I always direct people to that site!

I know someone who was born on 29 February and funnily enough he looks about 4 times older than the number of birthdays he has had.

Happy birthday for the 12th, Serfty :)

My name is actually Fiona
( and I'm a real princess :p)

Mamma always told me I was a princess....

Is it just AFFers? As fun as the QF Tweet & Greet was, I found it difficult chatting to a gentleman who only flew once per year. I feel far more at home amongst my brethren AFFers!

Princess Fiona is beautiful and has a real title. I'm afraid I'm more of a paper bag princess!

And I welcome mingling with brethren and sistren. (You do realise that the Exclusive Brethren are VIP/CIP at QF? If ever there was a reason to convert to any cult then 1A would be it).

Interesting - for me it would be a reason to not fly QF...

I was on QF31 a few years ago and a mate of mine was crewing in F. We were in J. He gave me a tour of the newish A380 and I asked him why all the screens in F were off. He said that the entire cabin was booked by them, and they are forbidden from using technology. They were all reading books.

It did strike me as rather odd watching them all run to find the F Lounge at SIN.

I believe they charter entire QF 747s to meet their international brethren, and apparently marry their young amongst each other.

I'm liking this lunch crowd already! :D

Must say, hope the weather behaves itself both in BNE and SYD on the 12th.

Really? So much for a life of tithing and poverty!!! We had a brief stint of EB when I was growing up in country Victoria but obviously my father did not embrace them as we ended up Methodist!

Guess they don't count fly-by-wire, jet engines, and planes as technology...
