Checking if the site connection is secure

www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au needs to review the security of your connection before proceeding.
I clicked on one link from the latest AFF email. No problem. Clicked on a second link and got this. It sat there for several minutes, before demanding that I do multiple captchas. This is the kind of inane coding that makes me stop using a site altogether.

This has happened to me several times whilst just reading AFF but clicking on a new thread. Is this a PH enhancement?

It might explain why accessing AFF via a VPN can be a pain in recent times.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

That is coming from Cloudflare, and it has been happening on and off for me for quite some time. I don't think it new.

Previously I would get a cloud fare message that there was an issue with the site’s security certificate but it is only in the last 10 days or so I have been getting the captchas requests.

It's something Cloudflare does for IPs with poor reputation as a DDoS protection mechanism. VPN endpoints tend to have shocking IP reputation as the outbound traffic of many people are funneled through that IP.
