Hi folks,
I'm trying to figure out if VA have broken their previously excellent J rewards availability with Etihad, or if I'm just unlucky with the dates I'm looking for...
I'm trying to get an awards seat from pretty much anywhere in Europe (I'll actually be in Madrid so have to connect somewhere) on the evening of 17 Oct, or anytime 18 Oct, with no luck, and because both the website and the contact centre are giving me different options on what is bookable between different combinations of codeshares and destinations I'm getting a bit baffled. I'm unsure if the low availability I'm seeing is due to a problem somewhere or if I should just cut my losses and book a suboptimal flight (I'd be spending extra points and cutting a holiday a day short)...
Does anyone have any idea on how availability looked in October, before the VA and EY Sabre cutovers?
