For those giving up their Amex Plat card, were there any specific reasons as to why? I was doing the math last night and with Amex plat, I could have a net gain with the credits whereas revolut doesn't have much to give besides the FX fees and maybe the FT subscription. The TI coverage is also weaker on the revolut compared to the plat, esp when it comes to car rentals.

I presume Amex will have to introduce something else once the dining credits expire.

I presume there are no fees for OS transactions. In which case, between that and 1ppd (vs 1/3ppd on the debit card earn rates with the Metal plan), it doesn't look like a bad option.

it's actually covered (for both debit and credit cards) on the plan pricing page (Travel benefits > Currency exchange amount with no additional fees, Additional weekend fees), as well as in their Help Centre > Card payments and cash withdrawals > Spending abroad or in different currencies > Fees for card payments in a foreign currency

there are no fees for any transactions in one's local/base currency, but only no forex fees for unlimited transactions if on Metal/Ultra plans - the limits for Standard/Plus/Premium are $2k/$6k/$20k per month, else it's 0.5%, and there's an additional fee of 1%/0.5% for Standard/Plus on any weekend transactions
