For those giving up their Amex Plat card, were there any specific reasons as to why? I was doing the math last night and with Amex plat, I could have a net gain with the credits whereas revolut doesn't have much to give besides the FX fees and maybe the FT subscription. The TI coverage is also weaker on the revolut compared to the plat, esp when it comes to car rentals.Interesting their savings accounts is paying interest daily compared to monthly with other banks. Note their rate is still lower than the likes of ING.
it's actually covered (for both debit and credit cards) on the plan pricing page (Travel benefits > Currency exchange amount with no additional fees, Additional weekend fees), as well as in their Help Centre > Card payments and cash withdrawals > Spending abroad or in different currencies > Fees for card payments in a foreign currency
I presume there are no fees for OS transactions. In which case, between that and 1ppd (vs 1/3ppd on the debit card earn rates with the Metal plan), it doesn't look like a bad option.
I am going to sign up shortly and might as well use a referral code if anyone got one. Cheers
