Just completed my order.

First time I have bought headphones but with quite a few International trips coming up I decided to purchase a pair. Very helpful recommendations so thanks to all that responded to this thread. If they work for me on my upcoming UK trip I shall return for a pair for SWMBO.

With DJs having 10% off Bose headphones over the weekend I pulled the trigger on some QC15s however for the couple of hours that I used them yesterday I felt a strange "pressurised" sensation on my ears and had a cranking headache after about 20 minutes. After doing some reading this is apparently not totally uncommon and can be caused by the technology used in active noise cancelling headphones.

It's probably a difficult question to answer unless you've had this problem before, but can anyone who's bought the Noise Hush headphones report having this issue? I'm going to return the QC15s tomorrow and I'm tossing up whether to try the QC3s instead or go with the Noise Hush.

Thanks

Interesting..
I've been an avid user of the QC15s for a while now & truly am impressed for the overall performance. I have not known anyone to have any issue with pressurisation, though the QC3s may alleviate this problem due to design.
I haven't yet tried the hush model, though at the price offer I'm willing to gift them & look forward to further reviews.
Cheers,
jl

Arrived this afternoon. Looking forward to plenty of use over the next 2 months!

I've been wering my noisehush headphones around the house for the past few weeks and haven't experience any issues, and have found them to be very comfortable.

I've got a 9.5hr flight on Wednesday so very keen to give them a run then!

Ordered a couple of pairs of these yesterday and they arrived today. Looking forward to testing them out on MEL-DPS next Thursday.

I expect you would have a similar experience as the noise cancellation gives a similar sensation when activated - almost like the sound is being "sucked" out of your ears by the headphones. I know the "pressurised" feeling you mention, but I find it goes away (or at least I am desensitised to it) very quickly - within seconds for me.

Thanks all. I've done some more research and apparently the effect is lessened/eliminated with the QC3s given the more open design so I'm planning to test drive these over the weekend.

The worst experince of this I has was trying them at a footy match when I had this "idea' to us N/C so I could hear the 'tranny'.

That experiment lasted about 20 minutes ...

Know exactly what you mean. Like your ears being sucked out, as NM says. Never gave me a headache though.
Mine are Jabra headphones so I suspect you'll get the same sensation with Noise Hush

Well done.. You are a kind father all round. :D

My headphones really paid for itself on my CAN-MEL flight on the weekend... I had a grandmother, mother and a screaming little baby sitting directly behind me for nine and a half hours. Don't know how I've travelled with without NC headphones before!

Ordered Monday night and mentioned I had a PER - BNE return J flight coming up on Friday and the Headphones arrived on Wednesday.

Great service!!

Can't wait to try them out. Will report back once I give them a run.

48 hours to go and I will report back from my first use on a SYD -ADL flight. Like a kid with a new toy! :)

Bought 2 pairs of i7 for myself and SWMBO. We used them for the first time on our short haul international flight to RAR and I was very impressed and dumbfounded by the quality and the NC capability. However I have had some issues with batteries and on my wife's pair the little blue light was not working (despite the fact the they still worked) No biggy as long as this is the only problem.

Saw someone with the Noise Hush headphones in use on my flight to TSV!

48 hours to go and I will report back from my first use on a SYD - ADL flight. Like a kid with a new toy! :)

Tested them out on our return SYD - ADL flights this weekend and both SWMBO and I were impressed so a 2nd pair will be winging their way to our house very soon.

Thanks all for the recommendations! :)

1 pair ordered tonight. Looks like they have all the features I'm looking for and the reviews around here look favourable so far. I do have a set of Bose QC3s and don't really use them anymore. I use a set of cheap earbuds at the moment. The recharging of the battery annoys me in the Bose headphones as does the lack of volume control. They are too loud and my ears get blown off with inflight announcements. Might flog them off on fleabay to pay for the i7 units.
