Maybe it looks way better in person but that picture reminds me of school camp. :shock:

No, it doesn't look better in person... They have a wonderfully new plane, and outfit it with seats which would not have looked out of place on a B747-100 flying in the 70's...
 
They came to that conclusion after making a video following the check captain Dave Evans around NBW. He suggested that 71D was probably the best as there is no 70D.
If they walked a bit further back, they might find 2 other seats that have tons of legroom, direct access to the aisle, but also a window to look out of.
 
Just got off QF9 in Singapore. Managed to snag 66H&K ... with a Platinum shadow sitting in between! Now that's a good Y seat!

Also enjoyed the Syrah that the CSM brought down from F, and a couple of glasses of Taittenger and an F amenities bag that one of the other FAs brought down :)
