Restaurant program has returned!

And what happens if they don't notify QF?

This is what I am most afraid of, I also don't want to have to hold onto receipts for 8 weeks, and then followup with QFF to get the points just because a restaurant is trying to be stingy and save a few $.
Hopefully this new program is a little better than the old one.

Has anyone received points yet? I booked around the same time and am still waiting. I realise there is the 8 week waiting period but just wondering if anyone has been lucky and received them earlier.

No, nothing yet, but I'm only up to around six weeks.

Two weeks since my meal at a participating restaurant and no points yet - I'm not worried at this time.

My points posted today (though I'm not sure why it's referring to "17JAN14" given I dined on Boxing Day)!

29 JAN 14 RESTAURANT BOOKING 17JAN14 ---400 -

Same as Airwin, my first two lots of points from December just posted with a date of 17 Jan.

I called a participating restaurant today to try and understand the process. He informed me that the restaurant pays $1 per person to Dimmi for the booking at the end of each calendar month. He has no idea about any points that may be awarded. So one would assume that Dimmi are paying anyway up to $1 per 100 points?

Perhaps 17JAN14 was when the $1 per person payment was made by the restaurants to QF for December 2013 dining before QF would release/process the points to members?

Qantas Restaurants - a rebirth??

Looks like after the recent launch of Qantas Restaurants in SYD, the website is up and running:
Restaurants | Qantas - Restaurants

I was lucky that I had heard about it from another source when my Qantas contact spoke to me about it today at our meeting. Seems like an interesting concept to gain yet more QF points :D (in addition to CC FFP earn)

QF Restaurants said:
Earn 100 points per diner when you make a booking and dine at a participating restaurant*

Book restaurants in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and cities across Australila with instant confirmation and no booking fees. With over 200,000 restaurant reviews powered by Dimmi, you'll find many rewarding dining experiences here at qantas.com.^ Bon appetit!

Did have to laugh at the mis-spelling though (see highlighted bold word) :D
