    Hi All,

I have scoured these pages to find an answer to my question but cannot find a definitive answer so I'm hoping you guys can help.

I am looking for a RTW trip (leaving November this year):

    MEL > JAPAN > BEIJING > SHANGHAI > MUMBAI > LONDON > NEW YORK > MEL!!!!!

    I have 135,000 qantas points.

    QUESTIONS:

What's the best flight option for me?

    Where do I get it?

Is there the possibility for an upgrade to business using points?

Many, many thanks. I am so flustered with this process. Any help you can provide will be much appreciated - I'm done with flightcentre.

I am assuming you are thinking about a paid ticket ?

As such I would consider a oneworld explorer ticket. I think the following routing could work:

mel-nrt-hkg-bom-lhr-jfk-syd (and add -mel-bne-syd to the eend for free if you want :))l

Then buy a side ticket hkg-pek-pvg-hkg

You could use some points to upgrade from L class to D on the QF segments - not much time at the moment but can look at the cost later.

    EDIT

I would book the RTW ticket through the AA ATW desk - they seem o be the most comfortable with i these sort of of tickets.

    scottangussam, welcome to AFF.

If you were looking at a Qantas Frequent Flyer oneworld Award on points you need another 5K to 7½K QFF points.

More than that it is normally really HARD to book such itineraries only two months out. Most would be looking to book July/August 2008 trips at the moment.

So in this case you may be best served with a oneworld Explorer ticket as posted by simongr.

These start at $3300 plus taxes, evies and charges.
