The NSW government will allow people to travel within the state of NSW from 1 June 2020 for any reason, including holidays.

Anyone else keen to book an intrastate trip?

And I wonder whether some of the domestic intrastate routes, such as Port Macquarie, Ballina will flare up its demand.

Does this mean QFLink intrastate NSW flights will start up again from June 1?

I hope so! No announcement yet, though.

As part of the current limited domestic network, QantasLink/Jetstar is already flying on the following routes within NSW (and to the ACT) with limited frequencies:
SYD-CBR
SYD-WGA
SYD-DBO
SYD-TMW
SYD-CFS
SYD-PQQ
SYD-ARM
SYD-BNK

There's also SYD-ABX, although Albury is in on the border with Victoria.

Rex has some flights to regional NSW destinations too.

Hope not - was definately in NSW last time I was there :p

Noticed some SYD-CFS flights are stopping at PQQ. Might change now.

Oops, I meant to say that it's almost in Victoria! Yes, it is of course in NSW as you say

I did notice that QF is running SYD-PQQ-CFS-SYD tag flights at the moment. Looks like you can't book PQQ-CFS as a standalone ticket, but PQQ-CFS-SYD could be a nice SC earner as the flight number changes in CFS. :p

Hopefully these will ramp up frequency then!

Sounds like something Rex would do! Perhaps we can have a NSW version of the milk run up the coast like Queensland has

Years ago I did an "inaugural" milk run from ASP to DWN via TVA & KCR in a Fokker. Was fun with champagne and lobster being served to celebrate. Doubt will ever have such an experience again.

Those were the days - I too did that run many a time with Ansett NT in the 80's (never saw champagne or lobster though). Also the Perth-Port Hedland-Broome-Derby-Kununurra run - 6 1/2 hours in a F28, not fun as it left an midnight from Perth..
No reason Rex couldn't join up its routes to do Melbourne, Albury, Wagga Wagga, Orange, Dubbo, Newcastle, Sydney

Aeropelican are flying NTL-BNK

I had heard that NSW-ACT-VIC wre already open for travel. I phoned a Sydney client the other day to find out he was in ACT.

This is already possible (borders are not closed) but the official advice in NSW until now has been not to travel unless necessary. Holidays aren't yet officially allowed.

Thnaks. just waiting for the Trans-Tasman bubble to burst. Looks like September.

There is no border restrictions nor police road block all the way between Sydney and Melbourne, so you can travel anywhere you like and you won't get fined.

I suspected that amy client was going by car. What about QLD? Are there road blocks?

Well If our trip to WA in August is prevented we will take a driving holiday in NSW.
As a Queenslander I am allowed to re enter QLD without quarantining unless I have been in a declared Covid hotspot. So I looked up declared Covid hotspots on the QLD Government website.Amazingly I found there are no declared Covid hotspots in NSW.In fact there are only 3 declared hotspots all in Victoria. So why is the border closed on health grounds if the QLD CHO only believes 3 areas in Victoria are hotspots?
