I’ve noticed my first few stays booked in 2026 seem to have a significant reduction in points earn, curious if I’m mistaken or is this just the status quo now. For example, a $95 (+2k points) stay at Movenpick Melbourne has only credited 51 status points and 90 reward points. As a Platinum member it should earn at a rate of 44 reward/25 status points per €10. So on a roughly €50 spend I’d expect 220 reward and 125 status points, or thereabouts. Am I missing something here?

You don’t earn points on taxes etc, if you had a $95 stay after a 2k points payment a lot of that would be taxes, maybe 40 euro for earn so it’s still under what I would expect

Is $95 + 2k points definitely the correct amount for the stay?

That'd would mean the cash value for the booking was $165 which seems too cheap for Movenpick Melbourne, even on a RHR.
