Both Bankwest and ANZ do. It only takes a week to get a new credit card.

Your Citi Signature earns 1 Citi points per $, and you need 3 Citi points to get 1 SQ mile, so that is $1 = 0.33 SQ mile (I said 0.4 which is a bit off with rounding)

Once you login, the transfer rate shows as 2.5 to 1 for SQ for Signature, which is where the 0.4 comes from.

I have the explorer, so it's getting halved.

Before this devaluation was announced, I'd JUST applied for the Edge, with plans to get points transferred over to make use of the better exchange rate. But I've heard a few stories that Amex is now not allowing the transfer of Gateway points into Ascent. Don't suppose anyone has had this experience?

I'll call tomorrow anyway - I haven't actually activated the Edge yet, just in case I want to turf it (or threaten to as a bargaining tool).

I transferred 192,000 MR Gateway points to Ascent a few weeks ago. No probs and done in 15 min on phone with Sydney office. Then spent all my MR points a few days later towards Europe award trips next year.

I have given up on the Diners. Charge heaps for forex, can't even be used with PayPal. Completely useless.

Diners is being withdrawn from New Zealand, the same should be done here.

Earn rate I understand and can deal with. The devaluation for my large balance of points unless I transfer out makes me angry

Got the letter for the QF Ult today ..... if you wanted to build QFFP it's not a bad alternative for the fee. I've tried twice to cancel this one.... will be interesting to see if they hand over a third retention bonus in <4 months.
