Redemptions to Easter Island?

Yes - though from a separate section of the terminal .

Can you clarify that? After we did our check-in at the 'preferente' area (see the TR .. a mistake on LATAM's part I think), we walked all the way back to the domestic security area, the other end of the terminal, then I recall it was a 'normal' domestic gate. But not being that familiar with the domestic terminal at SCL, I might be wrong.

I found the SCL-IPC flight very strange.

Checked in (I forgot about the 'preferent' area, which might explain why our J bags came out absolutely last... anyways, checked in and then went to the right (when facing check in area) to domestic security and then had to wait at the cafe/gate area for the glass doors to open up to give us access to our gate.

Was getting a bit worried but the more other pax showed up for the flight, looking equally confused, the more I knew we were in the right place.

Eventually the glass doors opened up for us to go to our gate but then I noticed the glass doors on the international side no longer opened and a few people that must have come that direction/from the lounge, were left standing at the locked glassed doors looking confused. Im guessing they then exited International and went around to domestic.
