I am wanting to book a flight for my daughter to the GoldCoast using KrisFlyer points but you need a passport number to do so. I really do not fancy getting a passport for her when we do not plan on going overseas for quite some time. Is there any way around this? Can anyone help?

No passport is required not sure why you think you need this. Where is she flying from? I take it that it us a VA flight.

It's probably like MH that require a passport number to be entered as part of the booking process.

I did a booking earlier this year and just made up a passport number for 2 passengers out of 6 in the booking. That was an international flight and there was no problem putting in the correct numbers later. If yours is a domestic flight, it shouldn't be an issue.

We are flying from Adelaide to the goldcoast. On Singapore airlines website you have to locate nominees so the person who has the account (ie my husband) can book our flights using his Kris Flyer miles. One of the required fields is a passport number.

Did you do this through Sinapore airlines? I just don't want this to have any delays or problems when actually getting on the flight.

Hi this is not a compulsory requirement except if travelling to the USA. Just put "tba" in the passport field. Have done this many times including on the weekend for for a trip in march on VA to Adelaide and another to Cairns. Also have recently done a Singapore trip and only this weekend realised i had not updated the KrisFlyer site with my new passport number and this was not even an issue. You wont have any problems at all. Cheers
