The lack of knowledge about their own promotion was quite shocking. Shouldn’t be up to the customer to explain it.

That’s what got me. Then the contradiction. It could be so much clearer.

Imagine if you got an email at the end of September saying you have met the criteria and your points will be credited in 4-8 weeks. Very different to this

I had a similar experience telling me that MyCard rewards was the only eligible card even though it says programs and that my premier was excluded.

I had a similarly frustrating exchange today.

It is infuriating that the people who are supposed to be helping us can't comprehend basic details, like what a participating partner is (i.e. MyCard Rewards as a rewards program,) and the difference been that and the name of the cards that earn points under that program.

I spent a lot of time going around in circles, with no actual engagement in the substance of the issue I was raising, and with the 'relevant team' apparently confirming their complete misunderstanding of the terms.

I called after 6 and wondered about phoning during day in the hope of speaking to a proper rewards team who know what they’re doing. That may be overly optimistic.

It’s only afew thousand points, but felt like they were making stuff up to convince me that I wasn’t due bonus points, rather than admit they just didn’t know why they hadn’t credited.

Call during weekday. Prepare for an hour long call. Have any sceeenshots ready to go. You will likely get the outcome you deserve after a wait and patience being drained

Going to those lengths for a clearly advertised offer makes me think my time might be better spent emailing ACCC.
