Quickest Time from International Gate to Taxi Departure?

The shortest for me was last year HAV-CUN, outside in less 10, perhaps 7 or 8 minutes. Although, it took me another 10 to find my driver... said he'd be waiting immediately outside, no , he was way back amongst the tour buses having a smoke!

Around 15 mins - but coming from a seat in Y, bathroom stop, checked luggage and no express path. I am not a fast walker either. SYD arrival.

LAX can be a difficult airport to get thru. However one day in Late April was quick getting thru immigration and again thru security to catch a domestic flight ( no Mean feat) in around 20 minutes. Did not think it was possible. I did eye the security queues and did choose what I thought might be the quickest. No pre-screen either.

Today it wont happen because TSA officers (Staffing Crisis) more travelers less security, less screeners, less dog sniffers( 6 months training time), the lines in the Untied States are long, taking off shoes does not help. More and more people are dragging their luggage thru screening instead of checking them in at the Airline.

Have definitely managed sub-5, but in a small airport as referred to by rooflyer - they are really in a different category. Best was arriving in Colombia at Medellin. Small airport, not many international flights, and it was less than 100m aircraft door to immigration. First out with HLO. Didn't time it but was probably 3-4.

Same airport arriving after another flight, with lost baggage, took about three hours to finally exit :/

Woulda been Concorde at JFK? BURNING two tonnes of fuel in the process

I regularly get from gate to landside in MEL in 10-15minutes, travelling with carry on only. Those who live in MEL have probably heard John Faine on 774 going on and on and on about cost cutting induced delays at MEL. My experience just does not support his continual rants. As you can probably sense, it annoys me when I have to listen to him carry on!

about 5 mins at SYD from plane to baggage claim. And then... But if I'd been HLO, boy would it have been fast.

Looks like I will have to go sub 5 minutes next time I am in SIN if I want to beat some of the above. I knew the 90 second wait for the taxi cost me.....

All depends on the proximity of the arrival gate, time of day ... i.e. if a taxi queue or not .... (Or whether you book an uber exiting the plane ) and helps to have access to the electronic gates, which is usually very quick!

Actually it can still happen noting that you don't go through TSA screening on the way out of the airport.

My best for a foreign international arrival is seven minutes from plane door to taxi at JFK arriving from HKG.

Have done it in a couple of minutes at MEL with HLO. I've been known to surprise the chauffeur by being so quick.

Pretty quick for me today through BNE.. Didn't time it but I think less than 15 minutes. Thank goodness for the express card.. Queues were pretty long..

Bright as a spark Hvr :D of course I got them mixed up

Took 12 mins from the plane to the pick up zone at Gold coast last night. That was impressive. I normally allow 30 mins
( I was in row 21 and no baggage to collect)

We were actually held back from getting off the plane for about 5 mins for a young couple to be casually escorted off the plane first from way down the back. Was funny to see some of the other passengers (who obviosly didnt understand the hostess )react to it as if they were queue junping

Maybe they said they were sick. Might try that :)

Tonight took 22 minutes from one of furthest concourse F gates in BKK to hotel meeting point near door 3 with toilet break, no one in fast track queue, purchase bottle duty free and luggage and golf clubs appearing on carousel as I arrived.

In hotel room near airport in <55 minutes waiting for free shuttle.

Broke the five minute barrier from aircraft door to BIS taxi at SIN this afternoon (4:55).

With everything going perfectly, I think I could go sub four minutes.

16 minutes seems to be becomi g normal for me at SYD when arriving on NZ...including DF pick up and checked bags...

Just today i was amazed though...arrived at M13 at ORD on NH from NRT.....power walked...immigration ...bag pick up...customs...bag drop for onward flight and onto the inter terminal train in 22 minutes..

Very surprising.....

Even better on Sunday night in BKK. No fast track but small immigration queues. Carry only and purchased duty free and was in hotel room in Pattaya on just on 2 hours.

That is quick.

Didn't time myself, but I'm pretty sure I've been off an SQ flight at MEL and gone from airplane door to landside in under 10 minutes with checked luggage. No queue for smartgate, my bags were first out on the belt and no line at quarantine. Very smooth.

Less than 3 min to outside airport, no taxis in this country though so had to wait for my "government guide"

Pyongyang North Korea, in between the old terminal shed closing and the new decked out terminal opening. This is with luggage that was kindly unloaded on to the taxiway to pick up on the way through, immigration just look at your Visa card (which has your photo on it) and your you walk off the taxiway into the carpark.
