On the weekend, it took just under seven minutes from when the door opened on my 3K flight on arrival in SIN to when my taxi pulled away from the T1 taxi rank. It helped that I was seated in row 1, HLO and used the eIACS gates (big lines at the standard immigration). This time included an approximate 90 second wait for the taxi.

What is the quickest time experienced from gate to taxi departure at a major international airport? I think seven minutes will be hard to beat.

8 mins getting off QF AKL-SYD at 8pm is my quickest.

Are you guys powerwalking or something? I feel like it takes me that time just to walk to immigration from the gate.

Sprinting I reckon!

I'm a slow walker and always have baggage. But I have managed gate to taxi, via human immigration counter and baggage carousel in under 15 minutes in Singapore. Gate location is key for me because of walking pace.

Mine is pretty similar to yours. Sub 10 minutes, SIN, first off the plane, straight through immigration with no queue (just regular immigration channel) and HLO.

My best effort was 10 minutes from the plane to the kerb, it was a BNE-AKL flight, and it was my first HLO flight (let's just say, from that moment on I was hooked on HLO). This was flying Y, and whilst I didn't muck about I was certainly not running to do it.

My best effort with checked luggage was 15 minutes after a SYD-SFO flight, I was flying J, we where the only flight going through customs at that time and they had moved all J luggage from the carousel and were handing luggage directly to J pax as we walked past (Y pax still needed to wait for the carousel).

Many small international airports where you can deplane and be out of the terminal in under 10 minutes if you are first off, HLO, no busses etc) just not many in the 'first world'. Rabat, Iguassu Falls come to mind.

I think it often depends on some external factors, which some others have alluded to. Things like other flights arriving, gate location, flight load, where seated etc.

We arrived into Brisbane international on 10th May. Flight arrived 20 min late due to delay at depature. Flight arrived 2005 hrs roughly. Largest delay was waiting for flight to be sprayed by quarantine about 10 min, no other flights in, flight not full, so we didnt have to stop walking from back of plane, duty free deserted and no wait to pay, no queue at e-passport, bags on conveyor belt, no wait at customs. No wait at lifts to carpark or exit. I think it was 2035 when exited carpark and on road.

So for us it was swings and roundabouts - late flight and delay for spray of plane. But after starting to exit plane i think less 15min til carpark and bought duty free alcohol in the process. Due living brisbane northside we were home before 9pm.

I didn't time it but on our first AFF F trip which was Thai to LHR, we walked off the plane and we were then ushered through priority immigration because we had a coloured card into the baggage hall where our baggage was waiting. Luckily our minicab was waiting and we stepped straight in. Cab driver said he was expecting us to be at least another half and hour

Actually now that I think of it, from door opening to bum on seat, about 4mins before. This was at DRW (before the airport expansion) with 1st row and carry on only. I think I showering in about 15mins from plane door opening!

at HKG could do single digit minutes from gate to Airport Express with HLO & e-channel (not from gates in the pier obv)

with a taxi interchange at Tsing Yi could sometimes do gate to home in West Kowloon in under 30mins with light traffic :)

With HLO 5 minutes at a number of airports including SIN (if at a near gate), MEL, CDG, SGN and even (believe it or not) MNL T1. Impossible at BKK! More impressive is the quick exits with checked luggage. Have done in <10 at SIN and ADL and once at SFO.

I have had <15 minutes in BKK with hund luggage only on day trips.

MEL 3 minutes airbridge to landside last Sat week 8:30pm off an AirNZ flight from AKL.

A320 row 4, gate 3 only stopped for Smart gate tag then processing and for border force dude to put a circle stamp on my arrival doco - strait out and caught an 8:35 T3 skybus.

Quickest with checked would be ORY, very lightly loaded flight from LHR, breezed through immigration and straight onto the Orlyval.

Only HLO flights I've done generally include car rental, which is often slow and painful for me.

My best was around 7 mins at TPE sitting in first row of Y, HLO and using e-gate. CX seem to have a monopoly on some of the closest gates to immigration in terminal 1, which also helps.

Can you tell me more about this? I travel to BKK several times a year and immigration lines drive me crazy
Arriving on any flight in business class or higher you receive a brown premium arrivals card that entitles you to use immigration fast Track. Queues are generally short if you are one of the first there.

Please do not try to buy these on eBay.

Also there is a VIP meet and greet service thaf provides fast track but appears that price gas gone up to THB1200.
