Hi there,

Trying to book flights on "UA" and it is converting to AU dollars to pay via credit card.
The conversion is $4 more than XE using 28 degrees card.
Wants Australia as billing address?

Is there a way around this?
Will PayPAL charge conversion fees or bill in Us dollars?

I want to pay in US dollars and have 28 degrees convert to AU

Are you on aa.com or americanairlines.com.au?

I've never seen that before.

What do you mean by "wants Australia as billing address"? Are you able to put in a US address, or your Australian address but with the zip code having a leading zero for your own postcode (so Melbourne would be 03000)?

You should also be able to put the reservation on hold. Try doing that, then return to the booking later and see if you still get the same problem. Or phone AA direct and try to pay.

Going pair shaped this attempt at booking!
Paid the extra $4 AU dollars on United and now the next flight on AA it wont accept my credit card booking? An error occurred while processing your reservation?????

Do I need to be in the AA.com.au to book a flight?

Edit: told I do now.

Seems no benefit in paying by 28 degree card now?
So pay regular credit card used in Australia?

No. You can book on aa.com (no .au) for US prices. If you want AUD prices, go to americanairlines.com.au.

There should be no issue placing a reservation on hold and paying later.

How can I pay on UA.com if I don't have an American credit card?
It only lets me pay in AU for my AU credit cards :( and adds a whooping conversion fee!
