To make one or more changes the USD125 needs to be paid each time you get it redone. All changes you make at the one time will be covered by the one USD125 fee.

An additional USD125 fee is payable each time you do this.

Thanks Dave. Can I clarify something just before I go ahead and pay the $125 reissuing fee?
Once you make 1 routing change, can you make as many more routing changes before you pay the fee or they won’t let you make any more routing changes until the previous change has been paid?

The fee is charged at the point of reissue, so make lots of changes before the reissue and you are only going to be charged once

Phone AA Sydney in India and they will be able to take the $125 ; if it does need to be a paper ticket then it will be issued and posted to you

Instead of phoning AA SYD in India, I thought I might try contacting AA NRT (where I originally bought the DONE4).
They happily took my AUS CC and reissued me with another eticket, so problem solved

A slight drawback would be incurring 2 conversion charges i.e. USD -> JPY -> AUD, but for the amount involved (US$125) I really don’t mind.

I ended up making 2 changes to the first DONE4 I did in 2006. Mainly because I didn't understand the ticket at the time. I had only just started reading AFF and FT and discovered I could add segments to me ticket. Which I did for my US segments through QF. After reading on a little further, I found I could also have 4 segments back in AUS.. So I reticketed again in the US through AA and paid another US$125 plus taxes.

Now being a little wiser I am booking all 20 segments before issue..
