Hi all I am attending Melbourne Greet with Lesley on the 8th October

As some of us will be going to these events I thought It may be a good idea to start a thread for those not able to go to post questions to ask Lesley so that we may compile them and ensure that we cover as much as possible.

PLEASE all I ask is that we keep this thread PURELY for questions rather than comments etc.

For my part I am happy to ask as many questions as possible of Lesley and report back to the forum.

Perhaps some one attending Brisbane and Sydney events may want to do the same.

Have a Great day :)

I'm sure it's been asked before but anyway: Is Qantas considering Lifetime Platinum?

Why does QFF seem to favor OW partners for redemptions but penalise customers who choose the Alliance for routes QF have decided not to operate?

BD

It was asked at the AFF SYD lunch and was definitively answered in the negative.

It may have been answered ¨in the negative¨ but that is not good enough!! I suspect there is not a single loyal Qantas frequent flyer who does not want this. But still Qantas does not offer it. From a customer perspective I suspect most would agree that the Platinum One concept is a failure.

For the next year LTG is my only carrot. After that I would be insane to remain with QFF. I hate that, as I love the airline.

So repeat the question: Why no LTP??????

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

Because it was the first question asked back in April and the answer came out very fast, not under consideration.
I think everyone that was there got the impression there is no need to ask again, the answer was very clear.

Cheers

BTW: Thanks to Ansett for offering to take these questions to Lesley on our behalf.

May I venture 2?

"What was the reasoning behind reducing SC and points earn on OneWorld alliance routes where Qantas does not fly and does not code-share? Is there a behaviour Qantas is trying to change or influence or is it just cutting back FF earning?"

and

"Lesley, can you please indicate the relative importance (not asking for any figures) within your executive responsibility of corporate earnings via commercial partnerships and earnings via having Qantas customers loyally flying the airline; that is, which is more important in profitability? Does the airline see its FF membership list as a great asset for commercial partners to market to?

Edit; And I guess our very own Red Roo will fore-arm the said Lesley with an idea of what she might be in for, so we can expect some well researched answers :)

Are the beer glass sizes decreasing in the Sydney T3 business lounge? Why?

Glad we waited until post 4 for the discussion.
Still the LTP question reminds me of my daughter singing "Let it go" at me when I abuse adelaide drivers at round a bouts.

My question is: it appears that QF have decided by their enhancements to the QFF program , that making long and short term status levels more difficult to attain is somehow going to benefit their bottom line.
Surely this will only cause those fliers to look elsewhere for higher benefits and as such loose those customers to the competition?
It strikes me that having more ( frequent flier) customers is better than fewer? Or have I missed something ?

That doesn't mean that the question should not be asked again. After all, the more often it is asked, the more QF should realise that their loyal pax want it. He who shouts loudest and all that....

I'm not complying with the OP's request here but remember, it's QF's program and they set the rules. We don't have to be part of it. Which brings to my question. Why am I and why am I going?

I will if possible be asking all questions put forward even if they have been asked in the past. I will be asking also what plans do they have to improve the P1 Experience as currently it is underwhelming.

I will also be asking what plans QF has to grow routes in the next 12 months.

The question of the decline in catering standards across all classes and how they intend to and when they will reverse this to ensure that they once again have a premium package given they market as a premium airline.

And charge premium prices!

"What was the reasoning behind reducing SC and points earn on OneWorld alliance routes where Qantas does not fly and does not code-share? Is there a behaviour Qantas is trying to change or influence or is it just cutting back FF earning? "
And for reference I was told that Qantas were reviewing this decision.

If that review is complete it is a disappointing result.

When will the award redemption rates be reduced in line with the simpler and fairer earning rates?

Can we expect Adelaide to be moved off the east coast?
(there is a question about invites to the coughtail party for Adelaide resident now that they do live on the east coast, but that might be inappropriate. :D)

When will we get Coopers Pale Ale back on tap in the Adelaide Qantas Club? Why was it ever removed?

This is copied from my post on another thread:

Personally I couldn't care less about the demise of the cheap ASA's.
What I would like to know is why QF have deliberately chosen a path that alienates and excludes their QF elites who choose to or need to fly on One World Alliance partners ?
Genuine question, because as far as I can see no other OW Alliance member is similarly penalising it's elite members.

Thanks Ansett :)

My question is;;; Are there any plans to build a business class lounge at Perth Domestic when Virgin move terminals?

Thanks Ansett

My questions are...

1. Do you really expect Perth based elites to keep flying Qantas when you don't fly internationally out of Perth?
2. If you are going to continue to not fly internationally out of Perth are you considering having the ability to do points upgrades on Emirates flights?
