Say a friend flies e.g. under the EK flight number and I fly the QF codeshare on the same flights would I be able to guest my friend into a lounge in e.g. MEL and DXB as we are on the same flights?

In theory yes, since the rule for guesting is "on the same flight", not "on the same flight number".

Thanks. May not get the chance to test this out but was just wondering.

If I test this I may/may not be travelling J, I could be using my WP status.

WP Status is a little different, I believe that WP will be fine in the F and J lounge, when I last guested (or at least offered to guest) someone into the (F) Lounge at DXB, there was some initial Kerfuffle, but I pressed the point about being WP, they relented in the end
