Hey All,

Was wondering if someone could advise whats the best way [if at all possible] to get some guest lounge passes?
My GF is travelling to the US soon on her own so she wont be able to access the lounge, if possible I'd like to get her a couple of passes to use.

Is the only option to buy them from someone selling them on eBay\gumtree, or can I buy them with points or simply request them from Qantas?

Thanks
Sam

You could apply for a Westpac earth black credit card, you get 2 with sign up

Thanks for that, however I don't really want a new Credit Card just to get passes.

So I guess dropping back to Silver to get one isn't an option either? ;)

Have a look at the applicable thread to see if someone else is travelling that day and can guest her into the lounge.

Try the thread of meets here: Meetings and Social Events (pick the month you want) or try Gumtree or eBay for lounge passes (word of caution on that though, as whilst most may be legitimate, you may be burned too as they're not official avenues).

How about the AA 30 day Admirals club membership. That should cover the trip. Admirals Club Memberships/Passes
+1

That's the best way to go - USD99 for the 30 day Membership and the member and a guest can access any Qantas Club before a QF or an AA flight as well as any American Airlines Admirals club.

I would advise against eBay/Gumtree - it's against the T&C's printed on the invitations.

We used a 30 day AA pass on our last trip as I had more people then I could guest......it worked very well

Just a quick question re: the AA 30 day pass.

When using the 30 day membership on a QF domestic booking, does the member need to have their AA number in the booking, or their QF number?

Thanks

I have used this in the past and all I did was print out the 30 day membership and various screen shots of access requirements. Not all Qantas club lounge staff are created equal and I had to be firm about entrance requirements on at least one occasion. (Domestic only issues). I only ever had the QFF number in the booking. Hope this helps
