Though the fact that 3 Cabinet Ministers have resigned in the last few days suggests private polling may be telling a different story.

Plus the fact that QLD has the highest unemployment rate of any State at 8.8%.And despite lots of QLD Government ads saying they are increasing the number of jobs(which aren't exactly well targeted as I have seen some here in Tassie ) the Treasurer in his recent economic statement said he expected the unemployment number at the end of the June quarter 2021 will still have an 8 in front of it.

And she’s from the COVID hotspot of the ACT - no cases for 62 days now. I remain appalled by this non-sensical, heartless and inhumane behaviour.

Agree it‘s a very sad case but Scomo’s bullying of AP and attempts to make a special case then more bullying in the media is apalling.

That statement left me speechless.

Since when does a CHO provide health advise based on the economic return of an applicant. That is approaching a full on political decision, at the very least an administrative/ financial decision not a health one. IMHO the CHO should limit advise to risk factors to the health of the state's residents.

Wahhh wahhh wahhh bullying, whatever - Anna is a big girl and she knows all to well if you dish it out you have to be able to take it. And she’s dishing out a lot of heartache every single day to some very vulnerable people.

Now either she or her CHO are making these disgusting decisions (who is to blame changes on the time of day you ask her) but regardless she’s the boss and it’s on her watch.

So own these decisions Anna and if you are comfortable staring down the kids you won’t let see their dying dad you go for it - but sorry when your regime makes calls like this, expect some very intense feedback and don’t whine that people are outraged about it.

Some of APs language is similar to that of bullies I have known, and some of the border policy decisions with respect to compassionate applications totally heartless, as many a bully would react.

So maybe my thoughts that it is AP doing the bullying of anonymous "others trying to seek compassionate exemption" aren't far from the mark.

Agree with most that is stated by you and others on this situation.

According to my reading of this Current Border Restriction Direction only the CHO and Deputy CHO can give an exemption. There is no Ministerial Discretion.

The really interesting thing to unpick is what is Dr Young and what is Anna and where does that line start and finish here....

Clearly Anna is desperate to get re-elected and her use of borders as a political weapon and a lazy blunt tool to try and eliminate all and every threat ever, is unravelling now.

But Dr Young is also very quick to whip up COVIDSafe plans for anyone with clout, money or stature - but bad luck chuck to any compassionate or vulnerable requests of which many are clearly much lower risk.

It’s all a little weird..... who is directing who...?

Another fact has come out now on Sarah's case.AP received a phone call from another Australian political leader today which she didn't mention.This leader also asked her to be compassionate and allow Sarah to attend her father's funeral.That leader was the Chief minister of the ACT.

And Anna didn't even have the guts to come out and face the press today.As usual when there is a problem someone else had to do the daily presser.So the CHO fronted up.

Well, again I ask the question. Is showing anger and frustration known as bullying when it is done by a male to a female decision but simply expressing a strong opinion when it is in reaction to a male decision. Surely the Premier of any state is up for a heated criticism of their decisions without resorting to the bullying tag.
