Sad thing is, they don't even bother trying to keep you as a customer.

But yes to cancel, you need to send them a message through your internet banking.

I missed the date so my Qudos CC should pass a million points earn before this year runs out. $249 is quite a lot for the new annual fee.

Indeed. I think Bankwest Platinum is around $190. I can only think Qudos's object is to close down the card. This is the right way to go about it. Exactly what Woolworths did a couple of years ago. From hero to zero.

Like the posters above for me Qudos didn't hesitate for a second when I closed the card. It was almost as if they were glad to see the back of me. I've kept the savings account/membership open (nil balance) in case Qudos realises they've made a big marketing mistake in the future.

Nothing of the sort. I know that emotionally this may appear to be the case but all the evidence suggest people don't actually leave. This is a consistent pattern for so many companies, go in cheap then once you've hooked them put the fee.price up and natural human behaviour is to stay loyal and not move.

All the evidence suggest this works, yes I understand you don't like it but that doesn't change the facts about human behaviour.
