With QR announcing the introduction of the A388 to PER today, I am looking to snap up a newly released J or F reward seat using a few spare QFF points I am looking to burn.

CDG-DOH-PER is 121k for J and 177k for F. Never done QR F but flown in plenty of F on other OW airlines. Outbound will be in J as no F available.

Is QR F worth the additional 56k? I can almost get an additional CX J flight PER-HKG for that (65k)...

If points are no issue you would have to give it a crack wouldn't you ??. Make more OW comparisons etc etc ........ actually no excuses required.

Yes definitely worth it. QR F is very elegant and the bed much more comfortable than J. The Flounge in DOH is amazing, almost worth upgrading just for visiting that lounge.

I did TR couple years ago about QR F and their lounges if you can be bothered looking for it.

I did see your TR last night and it was quite detailed (and the only one for QR F). The very open nature of the F cabin is a bit of a concern as you noted. Being the only pax in F may have skewed things a little (the service would want to be good).

The fact that you have to be flying in F to visit the proper DOH F lounge is an incentive to give it a go however. I knocked over the T5 Concorde Room a few years ago but have to say I was not that impressed.

Maybe I will have to take one for team so a second TR can be generated at least.

I would say it is worth hit. However, if you have a shortish connection in QR you would potentially be selling yourself short as you won't get to enjoy the excellent Al Safwa F lounge in DOH.

If you have 1m points then it's a no brainer and your should do it.

If you have 56k points then if it was me I wouldn't.

Why are you asking? OF COURSE, any upgrade to First is worth it! ;)
