The most interesting conversations one can have is with oneself.

I do that quite a lot. These conversations make a lot more sense than some conversations one attempts with people.

They definitely make sense to oneself.

Only until you lose an argument with yourself. ;) And then you wonder why you wasted time talking to that person!

Peel your own eggs takes a bit of getting used to. VA the lounge has them ready peeled, where as QF gives them unpeeled.

One VA lounge somewhere the other day had unpeeled ones - must have been Syd I think. But usually peeled, yeah.

Regarding access, when SG and flying Rex out of SYD I had no qualms about checking in, shuffling over to T3 for breakfast and shuffling back to T2 (where time permits of course, and let's face it Rex often have delays). I'm used to crossing the carpark anyway, chasing down the shortest cab queue. Now sadly I'm only holding QC membership until August and my PS will be sure to drop to NB shortly after. It's VA all the way now. How I miss those days of anytime access, when you could 'fly Rex, but breakfast with the best'.

I am a fat old OCD lazy pooch, that QP lady is a bit of the larger *ize and can't be mistaken.
None if the other QP staff are so officious. Or so in tuned to their jobs.
I am going through ADL QP again this weekend.
Then MELd Sunday.
I will have some fun this Saturday.

LOL. Hindsight is the hardest argument to lose. ;)

biggest win is getting to first base with yourself

I like the ADL desk staff!

Sure, first few times I went through, I'd stop and they'd ask for my BP or card. Then they'd scan the card and wait for the green light. After that, I soon learned that a simple wave of the card and a "Good Afternoon" was all that was required.

What I *really* like about the staff is that no request seems to be too much trouble: Mobile Check-IN fails on the way to the airport - quick check at the desk; travelling with a colleague sat at the back of the bus - request to get sat together is accommodated (with sometimes much pondering of the seat maps and a couple of calls). Every request - so far - met with a smile and a "can-do" attitiude.

So, to answer the OD's question (that's "Old Dog"!!): no, I don't think they've become stricter of late, just done what they've always done.

Regards,

BD
