Ok - no clue where that is. But the Westin is called the Westin Bund Center so I'm guessing it's near the Bund (i've been told it's some river in SHA), wherever that is... I do know that it's near a major shopping strip though. :D

Sadly not. Not getting OWE status till July 08...:(

If your interested, and rules permit, I can try and guest you in. I will be on QF25 the same day. Problem being timing, I have a bit of a drive to the airport that morning.

Fetchness!
Somehow I don't think rules permit :(, but I guess in true AFF style it never hurts to try. :D

OK Does anyone think that I CAN'T do this.

I am a WP and flying QF25 from MEL, so I should be able to guest QF009 into the Flounge even though he is on NZ

I interpreted that as suggesting I must at least be flying with you if you're WP but not flying F?

In this case I'll be more than happy to be proven wrong. :D

Ahhh, but you are travelling with me to NZ, we just happen to be on different planes. Not sure this works but hey, I'm sure we will find out.

Besides there is no F on QF25, so I could argue I would have flown F if it was available.

From what I understand no access to First lounge for QF009 according to rules for Platinum FF lounge access.

I know the building, just back from the river.

Minhang is about 30 km out of the city.

Yes and I would still interpret that as having anytime access to the F lounge as long as you were both travelling together. eg Air NZ, SQ etc. Not sure whether going to AKL on 2 different aircraft and carriers is classed as travelling together. So I would still place emphasis on the second part of that statement.

I do agree with you JohnK that is what they mean, however if QF009 wants to try, I will give it a go because it does say travelling together not flying together. There are many cases where people travel together, in different cars, different planes, and even different airlines.

From my experience, and from the sign on the door of the F lounge, it will not be open at this time. The F lounge opens at 3:00pm although someone posted on AFF recently that they have seen the F lounge open for the morning flight.

Personally I feel that the Skyview Lounge would be better at this time of the day and I will get a chance to try both QF J and Skyview again in 2 weeks time and report back.

Yep, that does sound right now I think about it. Recall it being closed one day when trying to visit. Doesn't worry me, just there to relax, and really won't care whether it's the QF F, QF J or the Skyview lounge.

Is it time to add in a '08 forum and the months from 2008 there?
