Sad times for Adelaide. Just hope Qatar sticks with us. F not relevant for us.
Maybe not permanent.
“We hope to restart our operations in Adelaide when it is commercially and operationally feasible to do so in the future,” he said.”

I took that service J just once as pricing was always a challenge ex Adelaide especially late in the piece.

A Family member had a couple of runs on it and again wasn’t enamoured with the asking prices at the time ....it was convenient though to scoot to AA rather than re-position to Melb or Syd....

Though ADL does not have an F lounge, but that flight did have an F service.
I never got the chance to fly that EK service, but the ones I did east coast Au - NZ, I couldn't fault the service.
was very easy to get to QF SG 3 years in a row!
No news about QR though.
The QR and EK services, while departure times were quite late in the day/(night, if you must)..., and the QF lounge food would not have been to flash that late in the day, but it was a good way for people to go up to DXB and other parts of the world, bypassing the east coast of Au to get to Europe.
Get to airport after work, and fly off.
As mentioned by colleague Pushka, still no news about QR.
Now only option is SQ once international flights are all go, again, unless QR comes back quick smart, though, must admit, the SC earn wasn't as good as EK, carrying the QF flight number.
**Lets see what QF does now, wink wink, bring back international flights into ADL, yeap, I can dream.**

Very sad news but at least I have Qatar Platinum so looks like I'll have to stick with them. Not that we'll be going anywhere any time soon anyway

At least I did get to Emirates F and had the shower - unforgettable

I know. Treasured memories for sure. So glad we did so much wonderful travel and airline experiences while we were younger than retirement age. Just have Egypt on the bucket list. I don't think we will make Africa. Iceland mmm - maybe.

Not sure if I will ever get to set foot on an A380 again, but as did, I did spend a few mins in tbe F loo, no, no shower, but just to see what it was like.
Tried the hot water hand tap though, nice feeling.
At the least, we got our kicks in the F loo/shower, (not together, mind you), but at the least we know what its like to be in there!

EK operated 2-cass 772s into ADL for some time before C-19. No EK F into ADL since February 2019 if memory serves.

Even if EK returns to ADL I'll still travel to Europe via SYD or MEL.

I think it was the remodelled 777 once F was dropped and which I understand Was a significant improvement over those J seats. However, our first EK upgrade in 2012 was from a Y Award seat to those J seats and we thought we were royalty.

Ah yes the shower. What an OTT indulgence.. but much fun :)

of course the slight upside to this is, of course, if/when things ever get back to some sort of normal, one can connect to EK 380's out of MEL/SYD and maybe PER. Yeah many don't like connections, specially on the 737's but.. more SC's for those on revenue fares :)

Yep, the old angled J seats were horrid. We tried it once and never again. Since that day we have always flown to MEL or SYD to get the A380 if we fly with EK
