QFF Redemption nominees

Hi all,

May I ask if I can potentially make bookings for other people and myself if I get a full access to an account of my friend with QFF points.
In Krisflyer is easy to add up to 5 nominees per year.

QFF I read only Family members are allowed?
I can check with my account as I don't have enough points myself min 8000 for the booking to go further and see how to add a name.

can anyone please comment on that?

The QF definition of family is broad but specified in their T&C.

People have nominated people as family members when they aren't and have come to grief.

Proceed at your own risk for a non-family member.

So they can block the whole account or not honor a redemption? ask for documents?

Both, they will most likely block your account first and ask for documents to prove the relationship status, and if you fail to provide the documents they will close your account and cancel the booking.

Edit: In short, just don't do it unless you don't care about your account going forward, in Qantas' eyes it is no different than selling QF points for cash, regardless whether they paid you for the flight or not.
