QFF points under $30 on Woolworths Everyday Rewards

Just realised that I have got points for a spend less than $30. Namely for bonus offers...

I've never received an offer for bonus points on a single item (other than in BIG W) and it irritates me a little that I have to spend $30 in order to get any points.

I’m sure that Woolworth’s reasoning behind this is that the shopper will spend more.

In my case, if I only have a few things to buy then I shop in Coles instead, which is closer.

I would have thought the reasoning was that it was tacked onto the existing fuel voucher scheme, which required a minimum spend.

Yup You got it - JohnK is NOT a fashion plate are you? BTW - I thought that your mum still buys your clothes for you? :p
You are right. Shopping is for people who have nothing better to do. ;)

While I don't disagree with that line of reasoning, it still doesn't explain the minimum requirements for those stores that don't participate in the fuel docket scheme.

You mean for all participants but woolworths/safeway on the mainland

Yep exactly. As per thread title

No, the thread title and first post talk about normal points for under $30 totals, not bonus points which apply above and below.

does the title really make that distinction?

QFF points under $30 on woolworths everyday rewards

I can't see any mention of normal points or bonus points in the title. Again, as per the thread title, I have got QFF points when spending less than $30 at woolworths.

The first post talks about QFF points earnt on txn under $30. No distinction either.

Mobile phone, maybe, one day...

Already exists so it's 'yesterday' ;)

The new "google" phone (Nexus S) has NFC. The strong rumour is that one of the new iterations of iPhone in development also has it.

It has the ability to effectively replace most cards in our wallets (well, the PayPass/PayWave components). The idea being you'll download a key from your Bank/Company doing the loyalty tracking etc, and put it on your phone. Wave your phone in front of the reader, and it's done.

I'm surprised it didn't happen earlier. Nokia looked at it 4-5 years ago, but never implemented it. It's now becoming more mainstream thanks to Visa and Mastercard, so it'll pickup in popularity fairly quickly (as both companies are pushing their credit card offerings with it).

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I never bother scanning it for that reason - didn't seem to be any benefit.

Scanning the card adds fuel saving points to you card. Quote: Spend $30 or more at Woolworths supermarkets (excluding Tasmania) and present your credit card to the operator to have the Everyday Rewards barcode on the back scanned to receive a fuel saving voucher loaded onto your card to redeem at participating CALTEX WOOLWORTHS co-branded fuel outlets.

The other cards that earn FF points are listed at (google) creditcardcompare
.. watch out for the annual fees, and check the points are FF points and now some other "bonus" points.

Qantas American Express Discovery Card claims:

No Card Fee Ever

A prestige credit card like the Qantas American Express Discovery Card without a costly annual card fee is actually a rarity. I personally don’t know many cards that offer the same perks for no card fee. This deal alone will likely save you a couple of hundred dollars each year.

Equal Points for Spending

For every dollar you spend with your new card you earn 1 Qantas Frequent Flyer point. There is no limit to the amount of points you can earn. Use your card for everything you buy and your points will keep growing without effort.
