QFF Loyalty Bonus Questions

A couple of quick questions about the Loyalty Bonus for reaching 500 SC's in a membership year

- do the extra SC's earned during double SC promotions count towards the 500 SC's required for the Loyalty Bonus?

- how do you select/choose between the 8000 FF points or the 50 SC's when you reach the bonus?

- if you select the 50 SC's option for the loyalty bonus how soon do they get added to your account?

(reason for asking is that it turns out that I think that I am going to be 10 SC's short of reaching Gold before I check in for LAX - MEL at the end of July - and I would really like to be able to get into the lounge at LAX to grab a shower etc before boarding.

2) When available, when you log into your account you're presented with an option to choose. You have three months to decide

DSC are not counted in the 500 SC bonus.
You can select between 50 SC or 8000 points directly from the Status Credits overview page in your account. Your choice is reflected immediately in your account.

Is anyone else having troubles selecting the Loyalty Bonus? I've tried selecting the bonus several times over the past week and each time it comes up with the error message below. Have tried several different browsers and computers and each time it displays the same error message. Not liking my chances explaining this one to Qantas or getting them to fix it...

I found clearing your cookies helps with this. Don't need to clear everything, just the qantas.com ones

In this case, it's nothing to do with cookies. It's an integration fault on the Qantas side.

I emailed Qantas Frequent Flyer, as suggested, and received a response and the loyalty bonus was manually credited within a few hours. Pleasantly surprised.

Hello all.
I have an odd scenario. I have a flight this Sunday which will trigger me to a total of 550 credits...and 500 qualifying. The 50sc bonus will help me retain gold bringing me to 600 in total. Problem is my flight doesnt land until 1940 on the 30th therefore will the system trigger the bonus option prior to 2359 otherwise my status will revert to silver .

I am leaving it late but not by choice. Anyone had experience of what happens or can the choice be backdated?
