From the latest statement:

An important notice about earning points with restaurants
From 12 Aug 2013, Frequent Flyers will no longer be able to earn Qantas Points at partner restaurants. Look out for program announcements soon to help you earn more points and in the meantime check out our latest member specials.

Good thing Curiosity does not dine out!

Just saw this email too. It was quite the unloved program and for me tended to take a back seat in comparison to Entertainment Book discounts.

Too much money, too little points.

Matt

Another diminution in the QFF value proposition. Bad news all around for QFF of late!

At least in ADL it appeared most places jumped ship a while ago. I didn't mind the quadruple dip, DJ + QF points + entertainment book + discounted gift cards, but I've gone from maybe earning 5-10k in the first year to zilch on QF. We did quite well out of it but won't be missed.

As this is a significant change shouldnt we be getting 3 months Notice?

Read our AFF credit card guides and start earning more points now.

With the tiny remnant of participating restaurants in QLD, I think it's more a case of the program being buried, than being dead!
It would be good to see more more regularly updated promos for FF members, a little like Woolies do with EDR!

Never earned a single point from it (despite dining at several places and presenting my card). Good riddance!

If chill on tedder still offer it, it will be my swan song on Sunday.
Have to say lack of opportunity has been my issue

Qantas killed it by being too greedy and charging the restaurants too much. Maybe we will see it relaunched under another guise though...

Part of Epiqure perhaps LOL (as in more integrated than currently it is where members get bonus points for dining)

It was a farce anyway. I only used it a handful of times - most of the times I tried to use it the machine was "out of order".

What about dropping all except that good Scottish eatery McDonad's, if you have kids it could be scary what the points earn might be.

It was actually run by pinpoint. Perhapa they have decided not to renew.

Pinpoint would have needed its cut as well.

Little disappointed with this decision, but not surprised. Admittedly all the places I have gone to that offered points I would go to anyway, the points themselves were just a bonus and not a deciding factor as to whether I should go there or not.

It's a shame - I eat at Din Tai Fung in Sydney a fair bit and this was a nice bonus. With all these 'enhancements' - I'm hoping there are some in the real sense of the word soon.

If you have a Citibank credit card, most of the restaurants on the QFF program alternatively offer the Citibank Dining free bottle of wine... I suggest using that offer instead.
If you don't have a Citibank credit card, get a fee free Citibank Plus account, which also provides the free bottle of wine (but you must pay on that card, so you lose any credit card points you would earn on the spend).
