I am curious to know if there is an Award seat available, will that same seat always appear in Anyseat at a generally equivalent cost?
I noticed recently that when I booked an award seat, the equivalent Anyseat that had also been available had suddenly increased to a much greater number of points.
So it appears to have a direct connection but any comments would be of great interest.:-|

Re: QFF Award v Anyseat

If you find an Anyseat award at around the cost as a Classic, then it is likely that is is the classic seat, repriced by the Any Seat Award rules (generally a slighly higher cash component*)

However, the existence of a Classic Award, does not always mean that the AnySeat award will be available at an equivalent price.

* Due to the way distances are calculated for the purposes of which zone is involved, an Anyseat Award can be cheaper than a Classic when there are connections involved.

No guarantees but often when there is a classic the cheaper ASAs appear, factor in the low cash cost and often they can be better value, sometimes ASAs are cheaper than classics.

I have found that if you have status there can be more classic awards available than the cheaper anyseats.

This I believe to be due to the additional availability that QFF may provide for WP/SG/PS.

What has been the case is that if you see the award class availability on ExpertFlyer/KVS/Flightstats then the cheaper ASAs do appear.

The implication here is the the cheaper ASAs use standard availability, not that for elites.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
