QFF Against Krisflyer Miles

I thought Amex MR used to credit miles to AA? Maybe they should bring back AA redemption given QF decides to have their own direct sweep cards?

What I want to see is Amex MR credit to CX Asia Miles at 1:1 ratio.

Thank you again Serfty.
I am going to look further into AA points making and your comment is a great start for our family.

Maybe a bit late now, but there is a promotion that finishes in 6 days with a 35% bonus for transfers over 20,000K to AA:
I have made good use of the 35% bonus for points/miles laundered through SPG. I have converted the following:

240K Diners points into 202,500 AA miles.
442K Amex points into 244,161 AA miles.
some Marriott Points into 12,500 AA miles.

for a total of almost 460K AA miles, or 3 First Class awards PER-JFK return, or 2 First Class ATW (up to 35,000 miles) awards.

I have some 330k MR points. Elsewhere, I read that the transfers from SPG to AA posts on Mondays.

Seems like I am running against time for 30 June, just as for my EOFY super contributions. How practical is it to transfer points from Amex to SPG (my account has been inactive so I need to call them soonest) to Aadvantage (which I am not a member of, yet).

My Amex to SPG transfers have taken about 48 hours. My SPG to AA transfers always show up at AA on Monday. I am not sure what is the cut-off time for sending SPG to AA to ensure it makes the Monday transfer.

Noted. Creating AA account is simple and was done online. The SPG account has been activated (basic, SPG Preferred) but when I mentioned my AMEX platinum charge card, I was told to contact AMEX to set up a fresh account. Will follow up on that today. I may be running against time and don't mind waiting for the next round of bonus offer.

I will go for the Priority Club gold account too. And all the other cards I can get through Amex, time permitting. :D

For an OZ resident, 60,700 amex MR coverts to 20,000 SPG which converts to 25,000 AAdvantage.

I came across this at this link:

Starwood Hotels & Resorts

With LANPASS, you can transfer up to 79,999 Starpoints into LANPASS kilometers at a ratio of 1-to-2. And for every 20,000 Starpoints transferred within the same transaction, you will earn 5,000 bonus Starpoints which will be automatically added to your transfer up to a maximum of 94,999 Starpoints for a maximum of 189,998 LANPASS kilometers per eligible transfer.

That ratio of 1:2 though into LAN's km's. I dont know how good is redemption with LAN though.

Today my family joined me in Los Angeles care of QF in First for 144,000 points.
They really enjoyed the A380 even though it regularly takes off late.
We are using SQ in December so we can compare.
